I’ve never both loved and hated a game so much.
This is insanely fun. I have the difficulty cranked up to Hard, and it’s so challenging I’m cursing at the AI pieces! 😤 Let’s just say my rooks and bishops better stay in line—or else.
Anyway — it’s totally worth downloading. You’ll be glued to it for hours.

One thing could make this better…
My kids and I tried so many chess apps and deleted them all—too many force you into mini-games, in-app spins, or distracting popups. That’s not what we wanted. We just wanted to play chess. This app finally nailed it.
The only improvement would be being able to directly connect with friends/family to play each other online. Right now we have to pass the device back and forth for local multiplayer, or play a random online opponent with no way to pick who you play against.

“Very fun and fast. Keeps my mind sharp.
That said, I’ve noticed a few UX issues specific to this version: on my iPhone 11, the clock or timer is hidden from view (but I can see my opponent’s clock). And when ads pop up, I struggle to find the “close” button in the upper corners (it’s too hidden). I’d suggest that your ad partners implement a visible “open/close” feature so users aren’t stuck in ad land.

Also, it’d be awesome to see a losing streak indicator (you already have winning streaks)—or even better, a winning percentage displayed in the UI. (I happen to track it myself — I’m sitting at ~68% wins right now.)

All that aside — I really like this game. Whether I’m that good, or my opponents are weaker, or luck is in my corner, it’s fun to strategize. Thanks for making something entertaining and thought-provoking.”
